My name is Summer McSpirit and I am an intuitive healer with a degree in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies. Though I've been studying the Tarot since 2013, it wasn't until spring of 2017 that I decided to use the practice to help heal myself from the emotional and physical trauma that were a result of my experiences as a two-time sexual assault survivor. Having seen the profound effects that Tarot as a reflective practice can have, in conjunction with Reiki healing, crystal healing, meditation, oil therapy and other spiritual/holistic methods of healing, as well as the values I have come to understand as a feminist within my field of study, I have found my calling in using these practices to help others achieve a sense of healing, self-love, and intention.

The Tarot is a tool that has been used for self-reflection and exploration since the 15th century, and for good reason. There is something undeniably powerful about the archetypes the cards depict, the messages from the universe they allow us to hear, and the medicine they teach for all cycles of life. Used as a method of examining and cultivating this present moment, combined with divine messages from spiritual guides, a Tarot reading can help answer questions you have about yourself, the highs and lows of your life, and ultimately, discovering your soul path and true purpose in this life.

Originating in Japan and being passed down from person to person through a specific initiation, "Reiki" translates into "universal life energy" and can be considered a self-healing or energy-healing practice involving the hands. Using nothing but the universal energy that surrounds us in each moment of each day, energy is transferred from the hands of a healer in order to restore physical and emotional well-being within a client. The benefits can be seen and felt physically, emotionally, and even spiritually.
